Actually, he paid in real money. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just that he met the guy in game, but then bought it in real life.

Buying accounts is against the EULA, and so is buying gold and items for real money, and so is botting.
People still do it.

I don't see how buying an account can be illegal. It's basically the same as buying a game off someone else. Only difference is that the account can have stuff on it (the stuff isn't even real).

Against the EULA does not equal ILLEGAL. I think you misunderstand what was meant. The EULA is simply the license agreement that was created by ANET with regards to this game and it's use. It's not a LAW.

When you're selling something and they guy puts in a way to low offer than what you agreed upon, make him pay 5% more.
Don: "WTS parch"
Sumgai: "I need 100, 80g each ok?"
Don: "ok"
*sumgai puts in 8g and accepts*
* Don waits *
*waits*

Sumguy: oh OOPS, eheheh, sry
*Sumgai puts in 7k500g and accepts*
*Don waits some more*
Sumgai: u there?
Don: screenshot, pay 85g each or face report+ban

Sorry, but ANET wouldn't tell you that, and the person who was banned wouldn't tell you that either, well ok they might, but the odds of them doing so are slim to none, and they already have 0 credibility... Which means you're making this up, or what you're saying is probably inaccurate.
P.S. For anyone who thinks the OP is telling the truth, try reading the EULA or ToS on the GuildWars website, I know there's a clause in one of them that states they'll never tell you if any action was taken from somthing you reported
http://www.guildwars.com/support/legal/
^ It's in one of those on that page, most likely the EULA or ToS.

I've reported people before, and they clearly state in their email that they won't reveal the actions taken against the person you're reporting.
And 95% of everyone does not scam.

"
And I know for a fact it isn't allowed because when I asked it was a gw gm that gave me that answer.

Anyways if people get scammed its their own fault and reporting what happened when buying and selling an account is just reproting your own wrong doings hahaahh.
